January Community Table

Thank you to everyone who attended our January Community Table last Friday! We had a great group of people representing all different types and stages of entrepreneurship, whether they were starting to sketch out a business plan, finalizing their logo, or looking to expand their established business and make new connections.

At this Community Table, attendees munched on samples from @heymatt and Enerchi Bites while discussing food startup development, including Jack McNamara’s review of TRUEnergy’s experience with business accelerators. Necco Ceresani and David Blumenfeld explained their work with independent contractors for their app Tender, and John Hopkins from Five Way Foods presented logo options for his new food product, bone broth. Conversation led to a discussion of the legal side of running a food startup, during which two attendees offered professional opinions on questions posed by the group. Participants also bounced ideas off each other to get reactions on everything from products to packaging. At the end, they forged the beginnings of new collaborations and networks, exchanging business cards, ideas, and samples.

Guests are the driving force behind Branchfood events as they make them uniquely, personally focused. If you’re interested in adding your voice to the discussion, check out our Meetup group to learn more and stay updated on our activities. Community Tables are free for entrepreneurs, people in the culinary or business scenes, and anyone who just really loves food. We’ll see you at the next one!
