Amplify Boston's Most Innovative Food Businesses!

Change is coming to America's trillion-dollar food retail industry. According to Fortune, the top 25 U.S. food and beverage companies lost the equivalent of $18B in market share since 2009. Organic food sales increased 11% in 2014, and there's more market than ever before for products made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. It's a time for original ideas, a revamping of the way we think about food.

If you're like us, you couldn't be more excited for what the future holds for the industry in Boston, a hotbed of food product innovation. On May 5th, Branchfood hosted Amplify, an event aimed at showcasing the city's best emerging food companies and connecting them with media and retailers. Here are some of the notable up-and-comers. Special thanks to Carly Brilliant from "A Noted Life" for sharing her great photos!

New Grounds Food is a health conscious food company bringing you the CoffeeBar: an organic, vegan, and gluten-free energy bar infused with a full cup of fair trade coffee.

Perfectly Free Frozen Treats created by the team at Incredible Innovations are bite sized, non-dairy delicacies with a creamy vanilla core. They come in cherry, blueberry, rich cocoa, and caramel flavors.

Box wine, reinvented! Named after Edith Wharton’s distinguished Newland Archer and the boisterous Theodore Roosevelt, Archer Roose delivers artisan-quality wine for the boundary pushers, the feather rufflers, and the unconventional explorers.

Dosha Bar is the original food bar to balance and heal mind, body, and spirit by harnessing the power of Ayurveda, the ancient Indian healing system. Each bar is crafted with love and made with organic ingredients.

Curio Spice Co. offers the best spices for home cooks and professional chefs who value top quality, new flavor experiences, and ethical purchasing. All-natural organic spices, herbs and salts are purchased directly from farmers and producers using the highest fair trade and sustainability standards.

Fancy Pants Baking Co. bakes cookies using simple, clean ingredients including fruit and veggie based food dyes, and cage free eggs. All products are completely peanut and tree nut free.

We'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who made Amplify a great success! We were thrilled to host Boston's hottest food companies (and to sample their delicious products). Amplify wouldn't have been possible without the buyers, distributors, and members of the media that came to meet these entrepreneurs including Yelp Boston, Stop & Shop, Pickles &  Honey, Chop Chop Magazine, Project NOSH, Bee's Knees Supply Co., LeanBox, Boston Public Market Association, Grub Street, Chex Finer Foods, The Daily Meal, The Grommet, and many more. We hope you enjoyed the event and made great connections!

Amplify was a private event held on May 5th, 2016 in Boston with a focus on amplifying the marketing and outreach of food and beverage brands. Startups applied for booth space to display their goods to Boston-based media and retailers. If you didn't get the chance to attend, stay tuned for more opportunities for networking and connecting with the Boston food industry through Branchfood events.
